Biographies of
the Texans

The Texans actually
began as a group known as the Master's Four. Beginning as a group of
college men, they toured across Texas and surrounding states singing
gospel music. Then in 1981, the Master's Four moved to Branson,
Missouri to participate in the family music show business.
After 2 years in Branson, the Master's Four changed their name to The
Texans. In 1992, the members of the Texans disbanded. Sam Ray
bought the name and formed a new group that continued to perform at local
theaters in Branson. Then, in 1998, God told Sam to take the group
back on the road. Since then, the Texans have been singin all across
the United States, spreading the word of Jesus Christ through song.
